- I really don't. Not here, anyway.
I also don't log in very often and only rarely read (or comment on) anything on my firends' page. This does not mean that I don't like my friends, but I like to communicate using other (more, to me, personal) means than posts and replies through LJ. I guess I'm very old-fashioned when it comes to all this blog-intarweb-thingymajick. I never meant this journal to be for personal stuff, really, just for update information about Tales Untold and the like.
So will I actually start using the journal and post drawings and updates and such?
It really has been a while. XD
A lot has happened - I have been busy with work, arranging the anime convention J-popcon and lots of things to deal with in my personal life. But here I am - having come out pretty much on top of things.

I've decided to make a few changes to this LJ. From now on, instead of only having to do with Tales Untold, it will include my other creative projects as well. So expect entries about G.R.A.E. and Monochrome World, Asian Balljointed Dolls, Cornelius, the Griffins, Scallywags, Photoshoots/manipulations and random artwork. I'm multi-creative. ;-)
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about - well, you'll see if you stick around. :-)

Oh, and Merry Christmas (or whatever you may celebrate at this time of the year) & a Happy New Year to all of you!

I still haven't got any TUT updates for you, but in the meantime, I shall plug a little. XD

Some of you might know that I am involved in a story-project-thing here on LJ.
It started two years ago when G.R.A.E. (a very contemplative and not-quite-human guy) escaped a science laboratory where he had been kept, experimented upon and used. A year later, two people like him (Ghost and Mist) were sent to capture or kill him - but the plans were thwarted when Mist killed the agent looking after Ghost and both hunters started creating lives for themselves in the world Outside. Meanwhile, the boyish looking vampire Daniel, who wanted to be a doctor when he grew up (but never did), met G.R.A.E. and took an instant disliking to him.
- Each of those people have a LJ and a story of their own, and sometimes the stories overlap.

Now, to make it easier for everybody to follow the stories, Monochrome World has been created.

Even if you don't mean to read the stories, you might want to check it out to catch a glimpse of artwork and illustrations by yours truly and her fellow artists Leechy, Kinu and Ravenkeeper. :-)

We have comic updates. One day late, but updates nevertheless. This is the last page of chapter 11. And it's here! :-)

I don't have a whole lot to say about it. It's nice to finally be somewhere in the story when Lukas knows (a bit more about) what is going on around him. I like scenes with Lukas and Robert together, because they're ... amusing. XD

Now, there is going to be a slight delay before the next chapter commences. I want to draw a few pages ahead for various reasons, and I want to update the gallery and the fanworks section as well. So I hope you'll forgive me the delay. It means a bigger update next time (hopefully). :-)

Yes, I am back. :-) Hopefully TUT updates will resume next weekend. It does depend a bit on some work I have to do, but I'll try to get around to it.
I had a wonderful trip to England. One of the constructively silly things just may turn into a comic project.
M-chan doesn't have much time these days, so she asked me to tell you that we have updates. She should be back on track with updates every weekend soon, or so she claims. ^_^;

- Lukas

PS: Did you notice the reference(s) in today's update? If you aren't familiar with M-chan's other comics, you won't have, but if you are, you might. XD

It's summer. Really. Cold and clammy Denmark is bright with sunshine and people exposing their bare limbs in shorts. That is part of the reason why this update is late, since I was outside much of Sunday.
- But anyway we have updates!
I actually have some fanart that needs to be uploaded, but I don't have the time right this moment, so it'll have to wait a bit.

Crossroads and Crossovers

<lj:music>if you call that infernal drilling somewhere outside "music"</lj:music>

While I enjoy drawing and making character designs and working on my comic, I also write a lot. And so I decided to make a webpage, Crossroads, to showcase some of my stories.

Does this have any relevance to TUT? Well ... Sort of. You see, I've discovered that most of the stories I do are connected in one way or another. This doesn't mean that in order to understand one, you have to know the other - no, they are all very contained in themselves. But there are connections and quite a few crossovers.
grae_life and TUT are connected because they take place in the same world and pretty much at the same time (the timeline isn't that simple, but let's just say it is to avoid confusion). G.R.A.E.'s story has a few "guest apperances" by TUT characters. Some are brief and have no real impact on the story, while others at this point are more part of his tale than of TUT. (And you can actually learn something about a few of them). There are at least 3 people who are in both storylines. But it's not very explicit, and I've been told that some people don't actually notice the crossovers at all.
Another story which takes place in the TUT universe is To Die To Live Forever, one of the only short stories I've ever written. It is set in a much earlier period, and the "crossover factor", though existant, is very low.

Well ... I believe I have babbled enough for now. XD

Let's see what we have this week ... A comic page and some fanart! :-)

Weekly updates are here! :-)

(Direct link to newest fanart here.)

It's been a while since I've uploaded any finished TUT-related art to the site. This is partly because I haven't drawn very much lately (too immersed in writing and RL things), and partly because I have drawn other things and pictures I just can't show you. It's actually pretty annoying to find myself drawing spoilers for the story and thus not wanting to upload them when I actually rather like how they came out. Oh well. I'd better just draw something I WILL want to upload, then, eh? :-)

Chapter 10 concluded & Chapter 11 started!

This week's update has the end of chapter 10 - and it even has the two first pages of chapter 11, too. Let me shamelessly take the opportunity to tell you that those extra pages came about because of kind donations by readers. Thank you so much, guys! I hope you enjoy the extra pages. :-)

Now, about Chapter 10. There's much less beating around the bush now that Lukas knows about Robert, Nicole, Erika and Jeremy. There are still secrets - all kinds of secrets - but at least now it has been revealed what their individual roles are.
And Lukas got his "claws" in this chapter. Finally! I've been drawing him with those weapons for years on artwork. ^_^;
If you are wondering aboutthe scene with Kit, that's a birthday cake in the background. I was debating with myself how to include Lukas' birthday in the story (since it's that time of the year) or if I should just not mention it. I quite liked the solution of showing that it happened and that time is not standing still in the story while the narrative was played out.
Chapter 11 will bring some new characters and information to the story. That much I can promise. And someone is likely to get their @$$ kicked ... XD

Updates here and here. :-)

I just had a spring cleaning in my art folder. There were lots of unfinished oldish drawings and sketches, so ... another post loaded with sketches.

Lukas, an inked drawing that I never grew quite satisfied with.

Design sketch of Robert's clothes.

And one of Lukas. :-)

Jeremy! <3

I have soooo many random sketchs of Lukas.
